The short version. A Sweet IOU coupon is a promise between two people. It is not money, not a voucher you can cash, and not something we can make anyone keep.
Free to use. Your words stay yours. Be decent to each other.
What a coupon is
A coupon records a promise one person made to another. The promise is between the two of you. We render it, store it, and deliver it — we are not a party to it, and we cannot enforce it.
Coupons have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, resold, or traded, and there is no marketplace for them. A coupon does travel with its link, though — whoever holds the link can redeem it — so passing the link along is possible, and sending it to the right person is on you.
Redeeming
- Anyone holding the link can redeem the coupon. Treat the link the way you would treat the coupon.
- Redeeming cannot be undone. Redeeming takes a deliberate, continuous tear gesture; once the stub comes off, it is final — a redeemed coupon becomes a keepsake, not a fresh one.
- Coupons do not expire.
Your account
Sign in with Apple is the only way in. You are responsible for what you send from your account. You can delete your account from Settings at any time; what that does is described in our Privacy Policy — including the part where coupons you already sent stay with the person you sent them to.
What you write
Your words and your handwriting remain yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to render them onto a coupon, store that coupon, and show it to whoever you send the link to.
Do not use Sweet IOU to harass anyone, to send unlawful content, or to impersonate someone else. We may remove a coupon or close an account over it.
Price
Sweet IOU is free today. If that ever changes, existing coupons keep working.
The service itself
This is a young product and it is offered as it is, without warranties. We may change it, and features may come and go. If we ever have to shut it down, we will give notice in the app and make a reasonable effort to let people save their coupon images first.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the service — including a promise someone did not keep.

We will update the date at the top when these terms change.

券是什么
一张券记录的是一个人对另一个人许下的承诺。承诺发生在你们两个人之间，我们只负责把它画出来、存起来、送到对方手里——我们不是承诺的一方，也无法强制执行它。
券没有金钱价值：不能兑换现金、不能倒卖或交易，也不存在任何交易市场。但券是随链接走的——谁拿到链接谁就能兑——所以链接转手是可能的，发给对的人是你的责任。
兑换
- 拿到链接的人就能兑换这张券。请把那条链接当成券本身来对待。
- 兑换不可撤回。兑换需要一个连续的撕票根动作，撕断即生效——兑过的券变成纪念，不会变回未兑。
- 券不会过期。
你的账号
「使用 Apple 登录」是唯一的登录方式。你要为从你账号发出的内容负责。你可以随时在设置页注销账号；注销具体做了什么写在隐私政策里——包括「已经送出的券会留在对方那里」这一条。
你写的东西
你的文字和手写仍然属于你。你只授予我们运行这项服务所必需的权限：把它们渲染到券面上、保存这张券、并展示给拿到链接的人。
请不要用 Sweet IOU 骚扰他人、发送违法内容或冒充他人。发生这些情况时，我们可能会移除相关的券或关闭账号。
价格
Sweet IOU 目前免费。若将来有变化，已经存在的券照常可用。
关于服务本身
这是一个年轻的产品，按现状提供，不附带任何担保。我们可能会改动它，功能也可能增减。如果有一天不得不关停，我们会在 App 内提前告知，并尽合理努力让大家先把券图保存下来。
在法律允许的范围内，我们不对使用本服务产生的间接或衍生损失负责——包括某个人没有兑现他的承诺。
变更
条款变更时我们会更新顶部的日期。
